Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: Marriage Productivity Hacks for 8 Figure Entrepreneurs with Kids

[1:24] – Stephen shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.

The most productive thing you can do is rest because the best business ideas comes from the off time.

[2:42] – Chelsey gives her recommendation to entrepreneurial moms on how to overcome “mom guilt” and achieve work/life balance.

The idea of perfect work life balance doesn’t exist. So many moms get into “mom guilt” because they picture being a mom and being an entrepreneur in perfect harmony and that is not the reality.
Family always comes first than business.
Focus on one thing, if you are in business be in business and when you are in mom mode focus on your children.
Know what season you are in and do what’s best for you.
Stephen adds about counter-balance, if you feel your kids are “daddy-deficient” set up other days to balance it.

[6:33] – Chelsey talks about the origin of a magical system she created called “Dream Week”.

It came from a place of deep pain where she was experiencing post-partum and their business was at a new level when she and Stephen sat together and created “Dream Week”. They identified the key pieces that make the week amazing vs the indications that make it a not so great one.
Put personal life first. Look at the patterns that give you life and plan the schedule.
Be intentional with what or when you are spending your time and recognize the patterns to get that Dream Week.

[9:44] – Stephen adds about Dream Week and talks about the concept of switching cost and why is it important for productivity.

Dream Week and switching cost goes hand in hand. Its like having KPI’s for your life because with structure there is freedom.
Its setting rules for yourself that allows you to build an 8-figure business without burning yourself out.

[11:23] – Stephen talks about switching cost.

There’s a study that says it takes you time to transition your brain when you switch between activities. Its important to know for parents who has kids and a high level business.
Switching cost is the cost of switching between two different brain modalities and it takes 15-45 minutes for the brain to catch up.
The feeling of being frazzled at the end of the day is not because you did a lot. Often, its because you switched a lot.

[16:17] – Chelsey walks us through her weekly family meeting structure.

They do a 30 minutes to 1 hour weekly family meeting and that is every Sunday. She and Stephen sit down together and plan the next 10 days of their calendar.
They plan the personal things first and then business. At the end of the meeting they each have action items.

[20:14] – Stephen talks about why “leveraged income” is better than “passive income”.

One thing they love is leverage and it is seen in how they are structuring their weeks. The family meeting is so helpful especially when you have a frazzled mind because of too much switching.
Using one platform to communicate example in Skype if its regarding business, “batching like a baller” in order to be focused.

Finding the flow and rhythm that works for you and follow through it. You can have more freedom when you set that up.

[24:34] – Stephen talks about the best opportunities he is seeing that work best for busy moms who want to succeed with online business right now.

If you are a busy mom, you need to look for leverage. Don’t look for passive income because it gives a wrong expectation.
Leveraged income is more like setting a system that you can make more leverage over time.
The opportunities for moms are to teach them to create remote business, how to launch a physical product brand.
What’s working in the online space is looking for leverage like partnering with other platforms where there is already something happening and not creating something that is brand new.
The Rainnaker Method is looking for opportunities like in IG and Amazon to serve people and create solutions fro problems and connect those moms to resources for them to do that.
Building leveraged business is the way to go in the Rainmaker family.
