[1:24] – Olivia shares something she believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- While hard work and long hours may be required at the start, once you establish a routine and get into the flow of things, you should be able to work less.
[2:35] – Olivia talks about her origin story
- She has been a photographer for 13 years, specializing in high school seniors and families. Living in the Midwest, where it is cold half the year, she wanted something to do during winter.
- She started offering boudoir photography two years ago, which took off quickly. She had no social media presence or client base, but worked hard to build it up.
- In 2022, 95% of her photography work was in Boudoir, and she loved it. It is her true passion.
[3:34] – Olivia shares a rundown of her day that helps her maximize efficiency.
- She used to spend 12 hours per client, but now she can do everything in 5-6 hours in one day.
- They start with hair and makeup, pick outfits, shoot for an hour in the studio, and then she edits for 30 minutes while the client views the images. They choose their package, pay, and leave. She sends the pictures to her editor, who makes them look fantastic, and her clients get them back within a week.
- She spends around 10-15 minutes designing albums and ordering products. Clients get everything within 5-6 weeks, and she can now work with 2-3 clients per week, with an average of $3,000 per client.
[5:13] – Olivia talks about the other 10-15 hours of her week.
- She spends 10-15 hours weekly on client communication, booking, and sales to generate more leads.
- She has created an automated system for clients to go through so that she does not have to send out individual emails.
- She also constantly updates her website to attract and nurture potential clients.
- She provides resources like a boudoir prep guide, a lingerie magazine guide, and a questionnaire to help her understand her client’s needs.
- She interacts with people on social media to turn them into paying clients and get them through her door.
[6:07] – Do you have any favorite software or tools that makes your life easier?
- Her most important tool is Dubsado, which she loves because it is a hub where she can manage everything and set up workflows.
- She can also upsell on the day of the shoot.
- She uses MailerLite for email marketing and believes getting people on your email list through a lead magnet is essential.
