Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: From Burnout to Bliss: Reclaiming Joy as a High-Achiever
[1:23] – Krisstina shares something that she believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- Money and wealth is not created around earnings and how much money you make but how you manage the cash flow of your life.
[1:55] – Krisstina tells her story from b eing a successful but overworked real estate mogul to hitting a breaking point when her health and relationships suffered due to burnout.
- She was following the entrepreneurial success model. She did whatever it takes and sacrificed everything in order to achieve success. She became a household name and a highest paid speaker and adviser and build her business to be in the Fortune 500 companies.
- She kept working until her health gave out one day. She went from speaking in biggest stages to not being able to speak her name and it was a big wake up call for her that yes, there is this road to success but sacrificing everything on your way to the process might not be the best way to get there.
[3:36] – Krisstina tells the story of her life-threatening illness that led her to the true meaning of wealth beyond income.
- She had a stress stroke that she was not aware of and that basically broke her brain and everything fell apart.
- She spent 10 years grinding to build her multimillion dollar business. Money was great and the financial success backed up her entrepreneurial success and she sacrificed everything to do it.
- But when she had the stress stroke, everything went into a halt and the business that took her years to build went from a lot of zeroes to just enough to keep her life afloat in 12 months.
- “ A healthy man has a million wishes, a sick man has only one.” She just want her health back. On her deathbed, she realized that she didn’t care about her success and trophies and she was filled with an enormous amount of guilt, remorse and shame that she paid so much importance over success than her family, marriage , kids, memories and experiences. She wanted to give up everything in the past to get back those things because she thought she will not live much longer.
- It gave her a new perspective that money is part of the entrepreneurial success but it is just part of the game that we can play but not at the sacrifice of our health, good marriage and relationships with family and friends.
- The whole goal of life is to be able to have our health and wellness, vitality, relationships and love and underwriting the cost of living the life we want by virtue of how we make our money.
- Money uplifts a good life but do not sacrifice a good life for making money.
[7:39] – Krisstina talks about how we can create a balance between financial success, health, and personal fulfilment.
- The most important is answering the question “how much money is enough?”
- If we don’t do this exercise or put a thought into it the only thing that we will go by is more. You don’t know how much is enough but just more than what you have.
- This constant chase for more as opposed to getting grounded in how much money is enough to live to underwrite the cost of living a good life that is fuelled with things that bring meaning and value and experience, joy and fulfilment to your life.

[12:28] – Krisstina talks about the Wise Money method.
- The Wise Money method is a method for understanding our money holistically from end to end and to be more organize about the game of cash flow and understanding that there are 3 parts of money.
- When we visualize this and organize our life around this 3 categories distinctively, individually but collectively, we will have a lot more control over the financial part of our life.
- The first category is earnings or how we make money. As entrepreneurs, we build business and were compensated by profit. We have to manage the money and how to earn more that is the game of cash flow.
- Our household is still a game of cashflow that most people don’t talk about. You have to be an active participant on how you manage your household cashflow.
- The second category is managing money. When we know how to manage the cash that flows out of our business, wealth is created.
- Wealth is created not in our business but through our household finance.
- Ther are 2 things in managing household cashflow:
- Spending – the money the goes towards bills
- Saving – save for investing, save for emergencies and save for big purchases.
- Spending and saving are equally important in cashflow management of the income we deposit in out household account.
- The third category is multiply the money. You need to out a portion of your money to where the money starts working for you, multiplies, compounds and turns into exponential money.
- Another term for this is ‘real wealth’ and that is where financial freedom exist.
- The Wise Money method is learning to think holistically the end to end cashflow of your money so that you can earn enough to be financially free in a target date in the future.
[17:31] – Krisstina takes us home by giving her mission is to help entrepreneurs escape the month-to-month money grind, master their finances, and build wealth without sacrificing their health or happiness.
- Parkinson’s law of money says ‘Expenses will always rise to match income”. What was once a luxury becomes a necessity.
- Spend less than you make in your business and household to have savings. Ultimately you will have more equity that creates wealth.
- Learn the basics of money so we don’t spend every dollar in our business and personal finance.
- Spend less than you make, invest in a passive type of investment opportunities. Do that for a long period of time and then you will wake up financially free and happy.
