Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: Uncovering Your Superpower to Become a Successful Entrepreneur
[1:25] – Joshua shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- People concentrate on being successful. If people would push more into not trying to be perfect and learn from failures, they’d be a lot more successful – and faster.
[1:53] –Strategies for turning our biggest weaknesses into our strengths.
- Joshua’s weakness was time management. What he did was log what he was doing with his time so he could monitor it and hold himself accountable.
- If you have a weakness, get a notepad and start logging the things that you feel you’re weak at. Start working on it one thing at a time and one day at a time.
[2:52] – Joshua shares what he has done to turn weaknesses into strengths
- He had no direction in his day. He started implementing time-blocking.
- His second week, he was able to see where a lot of his time was being wasted, and what he needed to focus on to get results.
- His business partner was struggling with productivity, but the one thing he was good at was sales. He stopped focusing on things he was not good at and delegated it to other people.
[4:52] – Growing and scaling — what’s the one thing we need to do to grow and scale this year?
- Have a product that people actually want.
- Look at your audience and try to figure out a way to deliver your product or service in a way that’s different

[9:24] – Failure is a part of the entrepreneurial journey. We all fail. Failure’s where we learn, adjust, pivot, and move forward. How do we use this to our advantage?
- Failure is not a bad thing. Every time you try something new, you’re most likely to fail at it.
- If you fail, just try and figure out how to make that thing a little better.
[11:29] – Joshua talks about outside-of-the-box opportunities.
- The online arena and digital marketing for business owners is quite difficult.
- The first 2 or 3 niches he tried absolutely failed. He was given a funnel that worked really great, but no matter what, it didn’t work in his niche.
- Sometimes you just have to keep trying and change one thing at a time to make things work better.
[13:36] – Simplifying marketing efforts to become more effective and efficient.
- One of the problems they battled with is trying to be efficient before being effective.
- They focused on standing out in the market
[15:48] – Joshua’s key takeaway and call to action.
- Making marketing simple is what’s going to help you grow. Make sure that whatever it is you’re using, the headline is very clear and speaks to your audience.
