3 Value Bombs
1) The majority of opportunities clients are getting involved with, on average, require less capital investment up front. Fewer employees, less operating hours, more flexibility.
2) People are interested in boring, non-sexy, non-trendy, Amazon-resistant, and in some cases recession-resistant, cash flowing businesses.
3) Emerging brands should have a strong financial model behind them.

Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: 5 Opportunities to generate over $2 million a year with only 2 employees
[1:33] – Jon shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- People often forget that you have to make a lot of hard decisions, especially early on.
- Easy decisions, hard life; hard decisions, easy life. Know what decisions you need to make today to position yourself for where you want to be down the road
[3:01] – Jon talks about the launch of his book Non-Food Franchising.
- It’s been a very positive experience. They’ve been giving out free copies to everyone on their newsletter list.
- They’ve been donating the profits to Hope International, a non-profit organization.
[5:13] – The reason why Jon does not cover any food industry franchise opportunities
- The majority of opportunities their clients are getting involved with, on average, require less capital investment up front. Fewer employees, less operating hours, more flexibility.
- Non-food franchises carry higher margins in part due to less perishable inventory.
- In food franchising, brand really matters.
- People are interested in boring, non-sexy, non-trendy, Amazon-resistant, and in some cases recession-resistant, cash flowing businesses.
[8:13] – Share 2 out of 5 opportunities where you can generate $2 million per year with only 2 employees.
- The first business is a roll off dumpster business that’s led by a leadership team that has over 50 years of experience in the waste management space. They came together to fill a need in the market, and to support small contracts and consumers with excellent customer service and a better end product.
- Second is a full-service rental, modular and wall containment solutions for all spaces under construction and renovation. So that’s a fancy way of saying temporary walls.

[16:17] – Third opportunity to earn $2 million with just 2 employees.
- Home care providers require having a very large team to go in. It’s an industry that also sees a lot of turn over, and so it’s not a very attractive option.
- So they created a referral agency for caregiver recruitment and client matchmaking.
[19:31] – Opportunities number 4 and 5 to earn $2 million with just 2 employees.
- Fourth is the nation’s only eco-friendly, high-performing, epoxy alternative floor coating for homes and businesses. This is used on garage floors, basement floors, industrial warehouses, retail floors.
- Emerging brands should have a strong financial model behind them.
- When you look at the window and door industry, it’s a $31 billion industry, highly fragmented with a lot of unsophisticated competition. And so you come in with a franchisor who knows his stuff!
[23:09] – How long does it take to launch one of these 5 opportunities?
- The exploration process takes around two months on average for their clients, from the first call to getting to that point of wanting to move forward and sign the agreement.
- Their process costs absolutely nothing. If you went directly to a brand or you went through them, you’re paying the same franchise fees. It’s a very clean, beautiful model.
- They like to hold their clients’ hands through the process.
