[12:52] – Jessica shares how to start the process of generating B2B leads.
- Generating corporate leads is simpler than most people think.
- B2B lead generationis targeted and proactive which means deciding the top 3 stakeholders or decision makers in the business and approaching them through direct email to introduce your services. These are usually the people involved in HR, Talent Management or Operations.
- Her advice is to stay specific when you introduce your services. It is much better to start the conversation than be too vague in the beginning and not get a response at all.
[15:53] – A sales call with a company is vastly different to a discovery call with an individual.
- One of the biggest difference is company decision makers are much happier to talk about money than individuals because they are focused on how to get the best decision or solution that is going to give the company a result. Individuals are more conscious on their disposable income so its difficult to talk about budget and other things.
[18:43] – Jessica talks about the 4 key stages of the actual call.
- First stage is the corporate sales call or business development or sales call where the agenda is being set.
- Second stage is the situational fluency questions to check if you are talking with the right lead, the most interested in the area of specialism and responsible with the budget.
- Third is the pain questions that openly identify the areas they are struggling with.
- Final is the impact questions which remove the defensiveness for example “what would be the consequences of your sales to handle rejections?”
[20:46] – Jessica gives her one key take away.
- Anyone can create a corporate revenue stream but everyone should be creating a corporate revenue stream in order to genuinely outlive, thrive and survive in difficult economical times.
- Selling to corporate companies can provide a stable and predictable income that can be used to fund your B2C business .
