[1:25] – Jennifer shares something that she believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.

• She believes that its ok to humiliate yourself in the beginning of your career because even if you make a disaster,  you can always recover. Do it however it needs to get done.

• She’s a singer and song writer who was raised in Georgia. Her dream was to become a singer just like her Aunt who was a famous local singer. She got the support of her parents and started to sing with her brother locally until she got better at it.
• After graduating from high school she moved to California and quickly got a record deal and travelled the entire world.

• The best part in the old days was there’s a lot of mystique and allure around the artists but now the fans know everything about the artists. Music also brings instant gratification to the consumers.

• Her first real grown up moment was when she became a mom 9 years ago. She fulfilled her dream when she toured around the world and experienced  failures, disappointments and heartbreaks that made her mature. But it was when she had a little girl that she see things is a new perspective.
• She become passionate in building something that will have an impact and is long term for her child and for other kids.
• Success is great but what goes beyond success and what it creates behind her is what caused her to think outside of herself and the impact that it will make around her.

• She was drawn to entrepreneurial endeavors primary because her father is an entrepreneur. She always found herself in a group of entrepreneurs and took some courses but she felt reserve to speak up because nothing in it seems to apply to her. It took her a really long time to find her place and realize that creativity is just an expression of the entrepreneurial endeavor.

• She struggled to put herself in the entrepreneurial world and almost pulled back until she realized that being creative is just an expression and all have a form of expression. Even if she is not as regimented as a typical business person one, she can use the same entrepreneurial advice in her own different way.
• Creatives feel vulnerable because the brand they promote is attached to their name but they  have to think of it as a business so they can take the pressure out of themselves.

• She was able to deal with the transition from music to creating a business. Though it was difficult transition, she realized that music is an expression that allows her to create pop music for the next generation that is positive and encouraging for the kids. She can use her gift to impact the next generation by giving them options to listen to.
