[1:33] – Ilana shares something that she believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.

This is the era of portfolio careers. Done are the days when you only have one thing and you just need to work harder to get the life that you want.

In general sense, it is multiple income streams. It is being able to diverse your income streams and what you are doing everyday.
They want the safety belt and not to be dependent on only one place to have a bigger impact, build legacy and can work anywhere.

First is you need to have one income stream that is critical and that you can count on whether its corporate or entrepreneurship that is really stable until it creates a ripple effect.
Don’t be a generalist that tries different things . Do it in a systematical and strategical way that will create massive results.

[12:01] – Ilana tlaks about talk the Dos and Donts when building a portfolio career.

First, have a stable income stream.
If you want to experiment, be strategic.
Align with your must-haves or what you actually need , you can have it all but not on the same time. Your must-haves change but you need to adapt with the change.
If you need something specific , you need to start being intentional about it.
Find that income stream and think about the ripples. Being intentional creates ripples that drive results.

[14:20] – Ilana talks about how she find this career.

She needed to lose it all to find it.
She started in airforce and then shifted to the corporate ladder.
She found a co-founder, raised a capital and took the VP role. Her co-founder took all the money and she was left with no salary, no investments, no start up and her ego came crashing down.
She was looking for a solution and it is at that point that she made a promise that if she ever figure it out, she will tell the world how and this is the basis of her program in Leap Academy, to help thousands of people elevate their career and their brand.

[17:32] – Ilana talks about some examples of portfolio careers she has seen with clients.

Its possible to have multiple things and still have an impact doing it.
One client whose big thing is how to involve, impact, finance and invests in business but his passion is to create fun adventure. They need to be intentional and strategic and started to get capital and he was able to raise $22M by investing in thinhs such as PTSD and water supplies that has impact to millions of people. This created ripples.
Another client created a cance r research in Africa and now she is speaking in top foundations and multiple boards.
Start tapping in the new era of possible and realize the thousands of possibilities that are there like a gold mine.
Her goal is to help millions of people who are driven to change the world and to change themselves.

Done is better than perfect. Take those imperfect steps every single day . Perfection takes 99% of us back. Its going to be those imperfect steps that has to be there.
Its not about what we make but what we make possible to create a life of possibilities.
