[1:24] – Gerry shares something he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- He believes that there is no luck when it comes to success.
[2:05] – How did you find your success?
- He had his first multi-million dollar deal in his thirties and second in his forties.
- At 38, he took a company public and had a $140M net worth.
- He then started another company and sold it for $90M at age 42.
[3:48] – Gerry shares how he achieved the $90M deal.
- He was a single-family home builder and land developer, and he caught wind of an opportunity to run a plastic surgery business.
- He started in the plastic surgery business by making operational changes and improvements.
- He acquired 135 plastic surgery centers in 35 states, put them in one marketing plan and software program, and made a lot of money.
- He ended up selling it and had the biggest deal of his life.
[6:51] – Despite all his success, Gerry suffered from depression and addiction, and he even contemplated suicide.
- He believes everybody should get rich once and realize that money is not the answer.
- Money will magnify a pre-existing problem.

- He was in therapy 6 days for 8-hours-a-day for about five years, but it was not working for him.

- He got into the plant medicine business in Costa Rica, believing it would change the world.
