They gave this an internal name called ‘self-serve’. They create this to help buyers serve themselves and gives them good customer experience with lower merchant support cost, high value conversation, business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

His wife makes allergy accessories because their daughter has food allergies . She loves making new ideas and her vision is if she can reproduce it, she will make it with more quality. Shopify help entrepreneurs to support this vision.
His wife loves high value conversation with customers like talking with parents with the same challenges they face with their children who has food allergies but there are also low value conversations like wrong size or wrong product that is taking up her time to answer when it can be dealt by using an app through customer account.
