Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: How to Find Your Passion
[1:30] – Dev shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- Success is all about knowing your true self and serving others selflessly.
[2:13] – Dev’s story
- He was born in a humble family, surrounded by people in a slum who would spend their time drinking, fighting, gambling, and abusing others and themselves.
- He was suffering from a disease, which he felt a majority of people were suffering from: mediocrity.
- We all have huge potential, but we don’t even use 5% of it. That gap of not utilizing your potential becomes a vacuum and it leads to dissatisfaction.
[4:45] – We need to find what our passion is, but what is the reason?
- 1/3 of life, we do all the basic and necessary things.
- Another 1/3 we spend with family or leisure.
- Most people spend the other 1/3 working. If you don’t love what you’re doing, what’s the point?
- Right now, we’re living in times that what you love can be converted into business. Why not do it and make money from your passion?
[6:27] – Why people are not able to find their passion.
- There are a lot of things in life that we did not choose.

[10:24] – How to find your passion, and some examples from Dev about people he’s worked with before
- It boils down to asking yourself deep questions. People are not able to find their passion because they don’t ask themselves questions as to who they are.
- We do not choose our passion, our purpose. Passionate purpose chooses us.
- The first and foremost question is, “What problems would I love to solve for others?”
[13:55] – How can we convert our passion into a business?
- If you’ve found your passion, find a process.
- Know how you are different than all the people who are in your niche.
- Know how to get known and be visible.
- Find a way to build multiple product portfolios, starting from free, to low ticket, to mid ticket, to high ticket or premium.
- Know how to sell the product and close the deal.
- Learn to automate by building funnels, processes, and scaling.
[18:26] – Dev’s key takeaway and call to action.
- Serve others and serve selflessly. When you give selflessly, you get back tremendously.
- You start a business by serving others. When you start serving people, you start loving it and that will become your passion and purpose. You will become unstoppable.

0 (1m 35s):
Dev say What's Up to Fire Nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
1 (1m 44s):
I think the success is all about knowing your true self and serving other selflessly. That is what it is like when you give more to people. When you serve more people. That is true success and success with Fulfillment
0 (2m 7s):
In Fire Nation. That's why today's topic is all about how to find your passion. And Dev is the guy to chat about with this today because Dev, you've had quite the story my brother. Give us the quick and skinny
1 (2m 23s):
Hello Fire nation. So this is Dev Geese. I was born in a very humble family. My dad was a truck driver. I did not know what to do in life except for just work really, really hard. In fact, my English was horrible. I could not speak proper English. Grew up in slums, basically, you know, it was surrounding people, drink, fight, gamble, and abuse. And from that neighborhood, learning to speak proper English, getting job, worked in job for 16 years. And I was still lost. In fact, I was suffering from a disease which I feel majority of the people are suffering or having. And most of them, they don't even know that they're having this disease.
1 (3m 5s):
It's called mediocrity. And that is what I was suffering from. I realized this, I was mediocre when I was in, you know, in 2016 when I started reading some self-help books, grant Cardone's book, it just blew my mind and made me realize that, man, I think we all have huge potential, but we don't even use 5% of it. And that gap of not utilizing my potential, I think that became Vacuum. And it led to dissatisfaction that led me to soul searching and finding who I truly was and what I want to do. And I found my passion in, in doing ma, you know, doing maximum that I can in anything I did when I was in a job I did maximum and to to did, ma did massive calls, prospecting, closing.
1 (3m 57s):
It made me feel happy. And I said, man, this is beautiful. By just changing my thought process, changing my mindset, if I can change my life, I started getting amazing results. I said, man, I wanna help other people. And that's when I started my journey of content creation, writing a book. And today I'm very fortunate in India, we got hundreds of thousands of followers, thousands of people who have found their passion through passion pillar programs and building their business around it. So this is me wrote a couple of books, TEDx Speech. So that's my story going from nobody to somebody in the job to now passion for a mentor, helping people to find their passion and convert that into business.
0 (4m 43s):
Well, I love your story and that's obviously one of the reasons why you're here with us today. And another thing is we keep hearing that we need to find out what our passion is. We just keep hearing that over and over again. You need to find your passion, find your passion, find your passion. But no one ever really tells us why. So dev, step up to the plate. Tell us why we need to find our passion. Well,
1 (5m 8s):
It's pretty straightforward. If you see majority of our life, you know, what are we gonna do? Is we gonna work, right? We not gonna just sit at home and do nothing. And if you see one third of life, we, we probably sleep and do the household chores and basic things and maybe one third we spend with family or leisure, right? But what about the other one? Third, or in many cases, especially in India, two third of our life, we spend almost working really, really hard. But most of the people working on the most important aspect of their life, which is spending most of the time of their life, is in job, career, profession.
1 (5m 51s):
If you don't like that, if you don't love what you're doing, what's the point? And I think gone are those days where work was like just for survival and hobbies and things that you like doing. It is just on, on a weekday or a weekend and just chill. But I think right now we are living in times that what you love can be converted into business. Why not do it? And do this bolt, make money from your passion. That's why you should do it.
0 (6m 20s):
So Fire Nation, I really hope that you're taking in everything that Dev is saying here because this is a person who's walked the walk and talked the talk for a long time now. But I still wanna ask you why Dev? Because there's a lot of people out here that are just not able to find their passion. Why is that the case?
1 (6m 39s):
Well, people not able to find the passion is because, see as as we were born, we were given name. We never chose our name right? We didn't choose our parents, we didn't choose our relatives. A lot of things we did not actually choose. Even the careers and professions, we think we chose it, but most of the people, they were by default conditioned by the society and the people around us. We chose those careers and profession. So when somebody asks you, who are you? Most of the people actually don't know Why are you born? Most of the people don't know. And I was one of them. I did not know who I am, what my passion is, what my purpose is. And I was just going round and round in the circles.
1 (7m 21s):
And that's why there was dissatisfaction. So according to me, is really important to find passion, but but, but how to find the passion I think is very important. I think that more than why I think it's, it's how to find the passion. People are starting to get aware now as to what they should do, not just for survival, but actually for success. I think slowly, slowly things are being, people are getting aware. Earlier it was not the case, but now people are getting aware about this.
0 (7m 50s):
Fire Nation, with the help of people like Dev and Entrepreneurs on Fire, we're gonna keep spreading this out to the world. And again, the focus of what we're talking about here today is how to find your passion. And we have so much more to talk about when we get back from thanking our sponsors, we all want the same things for our business. More leads, faster sales and better insights so we can serve our customers at the highest level. One thing, we all don't want to waste time and money trying to figure these things out. So, what's the solution? A CRM that's easy to set up and customize sounds too good to be true, right? But this CRM exists, and it's called HubSpot. What sets HubSpot apart is it's easy to use and integrates instead of wasting days or even months trying to figure everything out.
0 (8m 34s):

So, Dev, we're back and we talked about the why, why we need to find our passion. We talked about why people are not able to find their passion. Let's now talk about the how. Let's talk about how to find our passion and let's go deeper as you're talking about maybe a couple specific examples of people that you've worked with, your customers, your clients, your followers who have done so, tell their story.
1 (11m 36s):
How to find passion. I think it's very, very simple actually. People think it's complicated. It's actually not. It basically boils down to asking yourself deep questions. People are not able to find the passion because they don't ask themselves questions as to who they are. We do not choose our, our passion or purpose. Actually, passion and purpose chooses us. So everything that you want in life is already there within you. Like you, you, you wanna know your passion, just look within, right? This is the time to choose who you truly are and, and, and live that. So what kind of question to ask? The first and foremost question is, what problems would I love to solve for others?
1 (12m 19s):
See, most of the time we've been just like, man, my money, my house, my cars, we are always like me, me, me, me, me. But the moment we say, what problems can I solve for others? When you help others solve problems, then you start making more money. I'll give a classic example. One of my mentee Perkash, when he came to me, he was in a job, he was stuck. He did not know his passion and purpose. And I asked him, so what do you love? Like, what kind of problem do you like to solve for people? He said, Dev, you know what? I was very heavy and I was, you know, fat, I wanna, no, I I wanted to lose weight, but I do not know how I lost weight, right? That's one thing I can help others. So I said, what else is I'm passionate about dogs.
1 (13m 1s):
I love dogs and I have, you know, two dogs and I wanna make sure that people take care of the dogs. I said, okay, what can you do to solve problem for others in terms of health as well as in terms of dog? He said, maybe I can do fitness. I said, okay, how about you combine fitness with the dogs, the pets? He said, yeah, I can do that. I said, okay. And then can you solve more problems for the pet owners? They don't know how to train the dogs, how, how to take care of the dogs. Can you train them? I mean, can you teach them how to do that? I said, yes, I would love to do that because that's what I do for myself. And by just this question, he discovered his passion.
1 (13m 44s):
And today he's already making six figures based out of Bangalore, India. So that's how he found his passion. There are many other people. One of my mentee was stuck in a job and did not know how to grow in courier. So he started learning and he grew himself into vice president and big positions. And he, he, he felt the pain of people getting stuck just like him. And he said, man, I wanna, I wanna help other people to come out of this mediocre or, or stuck career and I want them to grow. So he started teaching people, helping people started writing the book and became the bestselling as well. So the question is, it's not about what can I get, it's about what can I give for, give to others, what problem can I solve for others?
1 (14m 29s):
And once you start doing that, you will find your passion that this is the best way to find your passion.
0 (14m 34s):
Hey Dev, one thing that I really want to be clear about is that my listeners, fire Nation, they are entrepreneurs, they are businessmen, they are business women. So I wanna get down to the nitty gritty and talk about how we can convert this passion into a business. Because I love what you just shared. I mean, I was taking tons of notes. I mean, you were asking, you know, who are you? Fire nation? You need to choose who you are and you need to live that. You need to ask the right questions, ask what problems you want to solve. And something that I've always said and I stand by is become the number one solution to a real problem. Not just any problem, but a real problem.
0 (15m 15s):
Because people will beat a path to the doorstep or the number one solution to their real problem. So Dev, I ask you, how can we convert this passion that we're finding into a business?
1 (15m 26s):
Everything that you wanna do in life is based on the process. Now, if you're already an entrepreneur, you know it, that you building a business is a process. Having six figure process, seven figure process, same thing. If you found your passion, find a process. What is the process? Step one is how are you different? You have passion, great, but how are you different than all the people who are in your niche? What is your micro niche, right? So let's say for example, your career coach, right? How are you different than all the other career coaches? Can you dissect that career coaching into maybe a specific industry, right?
1 (16m 10s):
Or maybe career coach only for, you know, based on the gender, like for men or based on designation, like career coaches for senior people or people or senior managers or maybe for geography. So getting the clarity of who you are is, is good, but also how you're different in business is also very crucial because the passion that does not pay becomes poison. That's what I say, you need to find how to make money from your passion by solving problem for others. But you need to be different. That's step number one. Number two is visibility. Like, if nobody knows you, nobody can buy from you. Nobody can work with you. So find how can you get known, like whether podcasts, like how this is Fire Nation, like you can start your own podcast.
1 (16m 54s):
You can create a content on social media. Today we have so many AI tools, chat, g p, and so many things available. Learn how to put out the content. You know, it's surprising thing is, for example, LinkedIn, right? LinkedIn's got, I don't know what, half a billion or more subscribers right now, or users right now. Do you know how many people actually create content on LinkedIn? Not even 1%, right? One to 2% people are creating it. 98% people are not creating the content. So it is, it is a huge open space for you to go out there and conquer it. That's what I did actually, I, when I started my journey as a passion per mentor, I just started creating content on social media without any ads.
1 (17m 36s):
People found me, people wanted to learn. And that here we are, right? So that's number two is visibility. Number three is productization. So you have your passion, right? You got your differentiation, which is a, a micro niche. Now you got the visibility, but when people reach out to you, what are you gonna sell, right? So find a way to build multiple product portfolios, starting from free to low ticket to mid ticket to high ticket or premium build, multiple pro programs or product portfolio, whether physical, digital, coaching, training, whatever it is. And you know, that's number three. Number four is monetization. How do you sell your product?
1 (18m 16s):
Whether it's one-on-one or one on many from the platform, or you know, or is it somebody from your team closing the deal? Like find a way how you can close the deal because if you cannot, cannot close the deal, nothing can move forward. And last but not least the least is automation. Like how do you automate by building the funnels, the processes and, and setting it in a, in a way that you can scale the lead flow and conversion in an automated manner. So these are some of the steps to convert passion into profession or, or full-time business or grow your business.
0 (18m 52s):
Now Fire Nation, this is why you listen to a podcast about how to find your passion. Because we talk about why people are not finding their passion. We talk about why you need to find your passion, how to find your passion, and then how to convert that passion into a business. You now have the tools. So Dev, step back, give us the one key takeaway you really wanna make sure we get from this conversation today.
1 (19m 17s):
Serve others and serve selflessly. When you give selfless, selflessly, you get back tremendously. Like what you are doing with this podcast, John Fire Nation, you're giving selflessly, you're serving people, helping people. And that's, that's your powerful story, which has changed your life and has changed other people. But first you changed and impacted other people's lives. You serve them and you continue to do that and that's why you're getting everything back. So a lot of people start a business, but they're like, man, how do I become rich? How do I make money? That is not the best way to start a business. You start a business by serving others.
1 (19m 58s):
And when you start serving people, you'll start loving it. And that will become your passion and purpose and that you will become unstoppable and, and then sky's the limit. That's what I did. I went from six figure to seven figure now on the way to be eight figure this year, all because man, I wanna serve people, I wanna transform life and I'm gonna mission 1 billion lives. So go ahead, serve as many people as you can.
0 (20m 22s):
Dev, where can Fire Nation connect with you? Where can they learn more from you? Where is your call to action for us going today?
1 (20m 30s):
