- Your identity is not based in your company. The key to succeeding at any trade is learning and listening to podcast to help you sharpen your sword and master the art of scaling, exiting and repeating.

- There is a different environment when you start your business and when you scale it. Entrepreneurs need to learn to delegate responsibilities and not just tasks.
- The important thing is identifying your personality profile to easily figure out what you can do to hire leaders that will surround you who also have different personality profile.
- Dominant sales folks are the majority of personality in entrepreneurs but most of them fail to scale because they need to identify that they are the bottle neck who need to find leaders who will not always agree with them.
[5:07] – Colin breaks down one thing in his book that talks about 4 areas: Story. People. Money. and Systems, that will fire up fire nation.
- In Start mode, you have the story, people, money and systems. Create the story, the people is you, the money is your friends and family and the systems are the things you will try to implement like KPI’s.
- In Scale mode, the story is figuring out your X factor. When you copy, you fail but when you come up with unique and different things, you will succeed.
- Make sure that you hire people who will compliment your personal element and have an environment where people will challenge you.
- Money: you have to raise money for the right situation.
- Systems: setting goals and core values and implementation of systems that will help scale the company.
- Entrepreneurs have the instinct to start but don’t have the instinct to scale. That is why learning to implement systems is important to help scale their companies.

- Doing a daily sales huddle before 9 am for 8 minutes with the sales team and executives and asking 3 questions. First,” what is your top priority today?” Second, “what is your victory yesterday?” Third is “are you stuck?”
- The most important in those 3 questions is “what is your victory yesterday?.”
- Within 30 days, half of the team will be gone because you will know who is not performing.
- Nothing can change your sales more than doing a daily sales huddle.
