Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: The Power of Turnkey Marketing Systems with Clay Clark and Atty. James J. DeCristofaro
[2:05] – Clay talks about how having, implementing, and using the massive power of turn-key marketing systems is crucial, and he introduces Atty James J. DeCristofaro
- If you are a realtor, doctor, dentist, or lawyer feeling stuck in a crowded market, then today’s episode is your game-changer.
- Our guest, a New York attorney, has cracked the code and is now dominating the highly competitive New York market.
- No matter your field, the insights you’ll gain here can jumpstart your success. This is the episode that holds the key to your breakthrough.
[3:07] – James shares how turnkey marketing systems are working for him.
- Clay uses a three-legged marketing stool typically, but in James’ case, they have developed an eight-legged marketing approach that we call “the spider.”
- It is a robust strategy with multiple facets working together.
- It is pretty compelling, and sometimes he has to pause certain parts because they are getting too many leads coming in.
[4:03] – Why are turnkey marketing systems working so well?
- Step 1: Take action.
- Step 2: Be diligent and consistently put in effort.
- Step 3: Optimize your website. James had a friendly but ineffective webpage. We made it search engine compliant, and optimized titles, tags, and content.
- To reach the top of Google, emphasize more original content
- James steadily improved over 3.5 years, focusing on a 13-point plan of which marketing is only one part.
- James realized the importance of reviews while they handled content creation.
[9:35] – What is the deal with the turnkey sales systems? How do you get those processes dialed in?
- James and Clay collaborated on creating a sales script and a pre-written emails. It is crucial to have pre-written scripts, so you are prepared when emotions are high.
- These scripts follow a logical structure: build rapport, identify needs, highlight benefits, and close with a call to action.
- James even recorded calls for improvement. One Saturday, he had an epiphany and visited Clay’s office.
[10:25] – James’ epiphany moment.
- He was frustrated after losing two big sales. The average ticket for his business is around $3500 to $7500.
- Clay gave him a two-step sales process and told him to follow it.
- At first, he thought it was ridiculous, but Clay encouraged him to do it. He was not fully engaged mentally, but he gave it a shot, and surprisingly, he made two sales back to back!

[15:46] – Clay shares the workflow he has built to scale the delivery of the products and the services his clients provide significantly.
- He shares a secret – His wife recently made a purchase and was excited about it. She found this product online through a Google search and ended up buying it because it had the most video and Google reviews. Interestingly, the seller of that product is one of my clients, although my wife did not know that.
- The next day, the client told me my wife’s purchase did not go as planned, and they screwed up. They had focused on marketing, branding, and sales, but the quality control loop needed to be improved.
- This situation taught me that learning comes from taking action, defining strategies, acting on them, measuring results, and refining the process.
- In this case, the messy middle involved defining strategies, optimizing websites and sales scripts, and scaling up. But the real test comes when you start selling.
[20:59] – Clay shares the importance of knowing your numbers and understanding your key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Your success relies on knowing and tracking your key performance indicators (KPIs). For instance, James is tracking how many people visit his website and become clients after hearing about him on this podcast.
- It is crucial to measure what matters instead of just throwing things out there without tracking the results.
