3 Value Bombs
1) Trends come and go. Don’t spend so much time to something that is just going to come and go but instead, spend it on doing something that will last.
2) The more your clients succeed, the more you succeed. Its never wrong to focus on a better experience in improving the program for your clients.
3) Don’t be distracted by sparkly objects and always focus on what works for you. Lean on what you love in terms of marketing and sales.

Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: How Being Boring Saved My Coaching Business
[1:11] – Christie shares something that she believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- In becoming successful, you need to do much less than you think but just do it better.
[1:44] – Christie talks about something that happened to her business that made her focus on being boring.
- In 2021, all the privacy laws has been implemented in all the major ad platforms and it made her business unprofitable because her cost requisition went from $800 to $2200 which was not sustainable.
- The huge and seismic change in the industry impacted them that their business doesn’t work anymore. They have 2 options, to quit or to do something different and adapt and view it as an opportunity.
[2:58] – Christie tells what she did exactly when they viewed it as an opportunity.
- Because of the changes in the ads platforms, people suggested many ideas and what they decided was to be as boring as possible in two ways. One is to adapt the program and focus on what works and ignoring all the noise and figure out what is the simplest way to improve the program and make it more valuable. To raise the price and get better results for their clients.
- They did not do anything crazy, or pivot or any hacks, techniques or tactics but focused on what are the changes that they can make it significantly valuable in multiple ways.
- The second thing that they did in marketing was they focused on how their clients will find them in terms of sales funnel , how they wil enter that sales funnel and how quickly they will buy the product.
- They didn’t invest in most of the ad platforms and not do anything new in terms of marketing. They focused on the most boring which is to get people into the first sales funneland sell to them a few months later.
- They focused on delivering great work and stick with the simple marketing funnel and it worked.
[6:44] – Christie tells why she decide to NOT look for the latest trends or cool new tech and how that worked out.
- Trends come and go and she doesn’t want to spend so much time to something that is just going to come and go. She wants to do something that will last.
- She doesn’t like social media and she’s good in long form content like writing, podcasting and teaching and her google ads build around long content. She needs to focus on what works for her and do things that focus on lasting, sustainable content. She wants to invest on time rather than on trends.

[11:15] – Christie talks about the #1 lesson she learned from this experience.
- Its focusing on what works for you and doing more of that.
- The second thing is, the more our clients succeed, the more we succeed. Its never wrong to focus on a better experience in improving the program whatever it may be to serve people and get what they want on what you are offering to them.
[11:54] – Christie gives a real case scenario.
- Before, their program is a 10 week program for new coaches but in reality, it takes more than 10 weeks and everyone wants fast, quick and easy results.
- US Bureau of Labor statistics tells that 20% of new all business are going to fail in the first year. She wants to be there for the coaches during the first year because it is a critical time. She thought how can she make it that is both sustainable and profitable and will not require enormous cash investments. What she did was she expanded the program for a year.
- They started to improve it by doing advance call for students in the first phase of the program for feedback and talk to them like an advance mastermind within their program.
- She allot 90 minutes of her time per month to help them understand what is going on in their business and give them the time and space to work in their business with no extra charge.
- It helped their students get better and be more successful. It’s a win, win for her for its not so time consuming but has an impact.
[14:30] – Christie talks about anything she wish she had done differently.
- She wished she had panicked less when a big flipped in the business happened in 2021. If she could go back, she would focus on what is in her control and have the mindset of seeing a problem as an opportunity and just focus on what works for her.
[16:34] – Christie gives her best piece of advice for any entrepreneur struggling right now with their strategy.
- First, its important to look at your numbers in multiple ways and to look at your data as a guide for your marketing, call to action, working and understanding what is working.
- Numbers don’t lie, they will show what works and what doesn’t in your business and allow you to make informed strategy. Its easy to make decisions if you are working with real data.
- Don’t be distracted by sparkly objects and always focus on what works for you. Lean on what you love in terms of marketing and sales.
[17:37] – Call to action.
