[1:28] – Ben shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- Ambition is important, and we should have big goals, but we want to focus on the small stuff first.
[2:57] – From a dolphin nerd to building a multi 7-figure e-commerce business.
- He grew up in the northeast of Scotland. Beautiful coastline, lovely mountains, beautiful scenery.
- He got into the marine environment and became a marine ecologist.
- He got really sick with a heart problem and was off work for about 6-9 months.
- Having no business experience really helped because he had no pre-existing boxes to confine him.

- Deconstruct and define what a brand is, because there’s lots of definitions of out there.
- A brand is a group of products that solves problems for a particular group of people. That’s really where we want to start. People first, and then reverse engineer it.
- When we understand our people, our audience, we’re going to understand what their problems are, and therefore what we should make or develop to sell to them.
- Don’t rush to try and just sell something. Rush to solve something.

- When you deeply understand your customers’ goals, their values, their challenges and pain points, then you understand how you should actually market to them
