Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: The Gift of Failure: Lessons in Turning Setbacks into Success

[1:23] – Ari shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.

He used his credit card to build his entire business because he is a huge believer in using all the resources he can. If you don’t believe in yourself enough to max out your credit card, you don’t have the grit, resilience and persistence to get throught the tough times you will not be a successful entrepreneur.

[2:28] – Ari talks about why he believes that embracing failure is the key to unlocking our greatest potential and long-term success.

Its not necessarily about the embracing failure but in kicking out of the reality. Anytime is an opportunity to learn something like a toddler who is learning how to walk who gets up everytime he/she falls down.

A failure on itself is just failure but within each failure is an opportunity to learn.
The operative lesson is you can take a moment to pause and that patience is not an inaction and rest is not laziness but just a moment to pause and asses the situation, weigh the pros and cons and come out with some seed or jewel that will help you down the road.

[5:31] – Ari Talks about a set back he applied this in real life experience.

They are developers in Rastegar Property Company where they buy properties in multiple locations and Re-zone it. When Covid happened, interest rates spiked which was a tough time for them but they were patient and they trusted the process. Eventually it worked for them. The time that passed became a time to build the project to become exponentially better.

No value in this world will happen without persistence. Persistence is the mother of all success.
Persistence is truly possible only if you have a deep heart-centered belief in who you are and what you are doing. The logic of the mind will only get to a certain place but the heart has no limit. The heart is the true fuel that allows persistence to truly operate.

[13:39] – Ari talks about some amazing experiences from his journey of how failure taught him valuable lessons in building a billion-dollar real estate portfolio.

The imporatance of agility is not spoken much about. You have to be able to change your perspective because in business, the landscape are constantly changing. You set plans and unplanned things happen and you have to have the courage , ability and intellectual agility to rally the troops and change.
He give an example when they bought an office space in Austin and then the office apocalypse start to hit due to Covid pushing everyone to work remotely. They went back to the drawing board and re-zoned the property to condominium , repurposed it and it went off exponentially.

They’ve spent so much time thinking what could go wrong and realized why don’t they spend that time in thinking what could go right. To focus on optimism and on positive outcomes as entrepreneurs.

[19:22] – Ari talks about the formula he created to bounce back from failure after failure.

The formula is first framing and positioning, think of the situation and his process is transcendental meditation learning the power of stillness. Second is to reframe the entire discussion around stark realities that are in front of him and then next is to rebuild.
