The answer is YES.
But you don’t have to take my word for it.
Could it actually be possible to get out of this rut in just 100 days?
Instead, let me share Elizabeth Granados’ story with you – a story that literally starts with Elizabeth breaking down in front of her husband – feeling as though she had hit rock bottom.
Elizabeth was sobbing and screaming to her husband about what a terrible failure she was.
She told me in an email that her heart physically ached – all she could think was:
“I don’t want to die with my music still in me.” ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer
When Elizabeth wrote me to share her story, this is how it started out:
“I’d been having a sinking feeling for a long time about where I was in my career and life. Six years ago I had been living my life as an entrepreneur but decided to sell my business and take a steady job to support my husband’s dream of going to dental school. During those six years my passion, purpose and entrepreneurial spirit were slowly dying. I had tons of ideas, but never followed thru enough to see success in any of them.”
– Insert Elizabeth’s breakdown –
This breakdown Elizabeth had wasn’t just a venting session.
It wasn’t a pity party.
It was a cry for help.
For support.
For encouragement.
Luckily, that’s exactly what Elizabeth received: help, support, and encouragement.
NOT a silver bullet.
NOT a golden ticket.
NOT a thriving business on a platter.
Help, support, and encouragement.
That help, support, and encouragement came in the form of a suggestion from her husband:
“Why don’t you take one of your ideas to Kickstarter?”
– Timeout –
Elizabeth was only “vaguely familiar” with Kickstarter, but intrigued by her husband’s suggestion.
Intrigued enough to take action.
Intrigued enough to take action.
Her husband’s suggestion encouraged Elizabeth to start poking around on Kickstarter; that night she watched 15+ campaign videos, including one for The Freedom Journal.
Elizabeth had never heard of “John Lee Dumas” or “EOFire” before that night, but she told me that hearing John’s background and story of how he got to where he is today was enough to get her wheels turning:
“Could it actually be possible to get out of this rut in just 100 days?”
Elizabeth clicked to “back” The Freedom Journal campaign, feeling buyer’s remorse during the entire checkout process (her words, not mine).
She had fears and doubts flying through her head about whether or not The Freedom Journal and this idea of being able to accomplish your goal in just 100 days was a total scam.
Have you ever told yourself something is a total scam to convince yourself “it’s not for you”?… That there’s no way this “stupid idea” could actually help you change your life?
Despite her feelings of buyer’s remorse, Elizabeth backed The Freedom Journal campaign, then went to bed that night – and the several nights that followed – not thinking too much about her goals.
– Fast-forward a couple of weeks –
The Freedom Journal arrives at Elizabeth’s door, and she opens it and reads the instructions…
“Okay… this is definitely a scam. How am I going to launch and successfully fund my Kickstarter campaign by filling out the same questions over and over again?”
Anthony Robbins says,
“Our beliefs are like unquestioned commands, telling us how things are, what’s possible and impossible and what we can and can not do. They shape every action, every thought and every feeling that we experience. As a result, changing our belief systems is central to making any real and lasting change in our lives.“
Luckily, a little voice in Elizabeth’s head told her to start filling out her Freedom Journal anyway.
She began filling out her Freedom Journal each morning and each night.
Through the process, she noticed the resources listed at the bottom of each page.
These resources led her to joining The Freedom Journal private Facebook group, where she posted a photo of herself and her journal as a way of being accountable – even if it was to a group of total strangers.
Elizabeth started listening to EOFire on her way to the gym in the morning.
She started replacing TV at night with EOFire.
Every day she forced herself to fill in her Freedom Journal – even though she honestly didn’t think it would work.
Around day 20, Elizabeth posted a photo of her product on a NYC Mommy Page, and as a result she welcomed over 200 moms to her email list within 3 hours!
– Now, it’s on! –
Elizabeth took consistent, focused action.
She was not handed a silver bullet.
No golden ticket.
No thriving business on a platter.
Elizabeth took consistent, focused action.
The result?
On Day 88 of her Freedom Journey, Elizabeth accomplished her #1 goal.
Elizabeth now has the foundation to build an exciting business – not just a dream, but an actual foundation she laid over 88 days with the help of The Freedom Journal (her words, not mine).
Elizabeth is living proof that if you decide to take daily, focused action towards your goal, you can achieve it.
Was it easy?
NO.
Entrepreneurship is not easy.
Building a foundation is not easy.
Launching a product is not easy.
– An inside look at Elizabeth’s Freedom Journey –
Elizabeth struggled on DAY ONE of her Freedom Journal with feeling discouraged.
But instead of letting that discouragement stop her, she took the lead of her Freedom Journal, and she started brainstorming possible solutions for the roadblocks she was already facing.
Elizabeth’s final thought on Day 1:
“You have a good idea – don’t be afraid to succeed.”
On Day 8, Elizabeth set up her landing page and got her first 3 email subscribers – WOOT!
On Day 25, Elizabeth conducted her first quarterly review, which led her to discovering that she was surprised she was sticking to her plan and continuing to move forward towards accomplishing her goal.
On Day 50, Elizabeth reminded herself that she was doing this because it makes her happy; that it should not become a point of stress.
Her final thought of the day on Day 50:
“I have overcome so many challenges in this process; I am really proud of myself!”
Elizabeth shared some other milestones on her Freedom Journey with us, including:
Night 52:
I struggled with
1. My Job
2. Sucks
Possible solution for the struggles:
1. Quit
2. Now
Tomorrow will be a great day because:
“I will continue with this amazing momentum. I love my new life as a kick a$$ Mamaprenuer!”
DAY 60:
I am grateful for:
“Today is the day I am quitting my job!”
DAY 63:
Thoughts ideas musings:
“I’m so happy and excited every single day since beginning this journey. It’s like a snowball effect of pure happiness.”
NIGHT 84:
Final thought for the day:
“I do not know how I can sleep tonight knowing that tomorrow at 11:00am the truth of this will all unfold. I feel so exposed.”
NIGHT 85:
A wonderful thing that happened today:
1. 80% to my funding goal in less than 24 hours – holy *&$%.
DAY 88:
In 11 days I will:
” – hold the phones… – I HAVE ACCOMPLISHED MY GOAL, BABY!!!”
Could it actually be possible to get out of this rut in just 100 days?
YES.
Elizabeth is living proof of that.
At the time I’m writing this post, her Little Nomad Kickstarter Campaign has 611 backers and $83,393 pledged of her $68k goal.
Elizabeth, congratulations!
It is possible.
It’s possible – but only if you’re willing to take action.
As showcased above, it’s not easy, which is why we created a free course and The Freedom Journal – because we all need a little help accomplishing our goals.
You can get access to our complete goal-setting guide for free right here.
And if you believe in Elizabeth’s story above – that silver bullets and golden tickets and businesses on platters is not how it works – then The Freedom Journal can help, too.
Getting out of this rut – accomplishing your #1 goal in just 100 days – it’s possible.
Start today. Choose Freedom.
A special “Thank You!” to Elizabeth for sharing her Freedom Journey!
And Elizabeth, a HUGE congrats to you for stepping into the unknown, not letting your doubts & fears hold you back, and for crushing your Kickstarter goal ;)
