The Entrepreneurs On Fire CPA: Mr. Josh Bauerle
John and Kate have brought me into Fire Nation for two reasons
First, accounting and taxes are the biggest weakness for most entrepreneurs. Unless you’re paying good money for qualified help, chances are you’re paying too much in taxes and exposing yourself to more risk than necessary in the form of every entrepreneur’s worst nightmare: an IRS audit. EOFire brought me on to help Fire Nation with these extremely important topics.
The second, to act as a third party verifier for EOFire’s most read article: their monthly income reports. Skepticism is a natural part of the online world, and rightly so. John and Kate can get on here and claim to be making any amount of money they want with no way for you to know if the numbers are accurate. Until now! Rest assured that every single number that is reported on the monthly income reports has been investigated and approved by a licensed CPA.
So what makes me qualified to perform the important task of both educating Fire Nation on the topic of accounting and taxes while also verifying the monthly income reports?
Here’s a rundown of my experience
After graduating from Kent State University in 2008, I took a job as a staff accountant at a Fortune 500 Company in Columbus, OH. While the Fortune 500 part sounds exciting, it was incredibly boring and I spent most of my days dreaming of something more. In 2010 my wife and I packed our bags and moved to Denver, Colorado where I took a job as a tax accountant with one of the top CPA firms in the state.
In 2011 I began prepping for the CPA exam, and by the end of that year I was among only 10% of CPA’s who pass all four exams on the first attempt.
Around June of 2012 I began to get restless with my job again and moved on to doing financial advising at a local wealth management firm. I spent my days working with wealthy individuals and small businesses to help them invest their money and minimize their taxes and fees on those investments. This job was fun for a while, but once again I got bored pretty quickly.
It was around this time I finally began to realize the problem wasn’t all these different jobs, the problem was that I hated being an employee. So in December of 2012 I took my own entrepreneurial leap and launched my own firm, JDB Business Solutions.
Since that day, I’ve been loving every minute of it and you couldn’t send me back to the world of being an employee for any amount of money in the world.
Who’s to say I’m a real life Certified Public Accountant?
As I mentioned above, you can say anything you want on the Internet. For all you know, John and Kate could have made me up out of thin air. Instead of just asking you to take our word for it, we wanted to offer up the proof right off the bat.
Below is a copy of my CPA license through the state of Colorado. You can also view a copy of it here.
Now that all the paperwork and proof is out of the way, how can I help you, Fire Nation? I love talking to entrepreneurs, so feel free to reach out any time.
