3 Value Bombs
1) We can’t continue to follow the rules that’s always been given into our space then expect extraordinary results from it. Disruption is the idea of the willingness to break the rules. The rule breaker becomes the rule maker that everyone else in the follows.
2) Trust is one thing that will never go away so if you build around trust, that will matter what happens in the platform.
3) Platforms are going to come and go but what is not going to come and go is the need for you to become the most known and trusted brand in your space.

Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: How to Become the Most Known and Trusted Brand in Your Market: A Roadmap to Endless Customers
[1:23] – Marcus shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- Your success doesn’t have much to do with your schooling and it is almost irrelevant. His favourite quote is by Mark Twain “Never let your schooling get in the way of your education.” He thinks that we are going to see that more and more and more.
[2:01] – Marcus talks about the reason why entrepreneurs across all industries are finding the acquisition of new customers harder than ever.
- It started on November 2022 when AI started to shock the world. As soon as Chat GPT came out, you can’t build your house on Google anymore. For 25 years , that was what a lot of marketers and companies has done but the reality is Google only owns 18% of all search because there’s Amazon, YouTube and social media and that piece of the pie is going to get smaller.
- SEO is getting harder. Over 50% of Google searches now don’t end with a click and we have seen massive shifts.
- A lot of organizations who are working with agencies for years are not getting results for their money anymore.
- Marketing was a lot easier 10 years ago and is much harder today because you have to be more creative and that is why the movement nowadays is owning your own in-house marketing. That is really the future.
[4:40] – Marcus talks about what is contributing to these struggles.
- Part of it is AI and part of it is the buyer’s are changing. They want more information but they are going to different places. Gen Z goes to YouTube and Tiktok. Other businesses just can’t catch up and are left behind.
- You can’t allow your personal opinions to affect your business decisions and a lot of people do that saying ‘video is not my thing’ but it doesn’t really matter because the market has never showed up to your websites.
- Businesses need to understand that the platforms are going to come and go but there are principles that will remain true.
[6:46] – Marcus talks about what we can dot about it especially for those that have relied on traditional inbound marketing and Google Search.
- What we can’t do is start with a specific mindset and that is we can’t continue to follow the rules that’s always been given into our space then expect extraordinary results from it.
- His new book Endless Customers is about the idea of Disruption and the willingness to break the rules.
- The rule breaker becomes the rule makers and everyone else in the room become rule followers.
- Are you willing to break the rules and be a disruptor or do you want to get the same results that everybody has got. That is where it starts.

[11:46] – Marcus shares his Four Pillars of a Known and Trusted Brand.
- Trust is one thing that will never go away so if you build around trust, that will matter what happens in the platform.
- First pillar is say what others aren’t willing to say. You’ve got to be willing to address what buyers want to know. The five fundamental subjects that buyers want to know are the cost, the prompts, comparisons, reviews and the best.
- Most companies do not address this fundamental subjects that buyers want to know and because of that they never become the voice of trust and they don’t stand out from the AI recommendation perspective.
[14:07] – Marcus talks about the second pillar.
- Show what others aren’t willing to show. At this point you have to see yourself as a media company. Produce a video and show on that video what others don’t want to show.
- Create a simple cost price video that thoroughly explains or show vitually what it costs. What drives the cost up for the product or service? What drives the cost down for the product or service? Why some companies are expensive than others? Why some companies are less than others? Where do you fall within the spectrum.?
- If you show this and help the market understand value, then you’ve done something that the majority of your competitors will never do.
- Explain what value means in the industry and what drives cost if you want to become the trusted voice.
[16:05] – Third and fourth pillar.
- Sell in ways others aren’t willing to sell. Statistics says that 75% of all buyers would prefer a seller-free experience. Buyers want control and the best way to take advantage of the trend is self-service. There are 5 fundamental self-service tools in his book for example a self-scheduling tool or a price estimator tool.
- Fourth pillar, be more human as you can be.
[20:33] – Marcus gives his key take away.
- In the coming years, you are going to see technology and AI change everything. Platforms are going to come and go but what is not going to come and go is the need for you to become the most known and trusted brand in your space. That is going to be important and relevant to you in the next 5, 10 or 20 years as it is today. Endless Customers will show and give you a system to do that.
