Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: The Coming American Revival

[1:32] – Chris shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.

[3:26] – Chris tells that America is set for revival.

He used to be a pastor for 14 years before he started writing and speaking full time and he was also involved in politics. He thought of writing a book about Revival in America when he was halfway wrting his 25^th book “The Capitalist”. This book about revival is not a prophecy or prediction book but a declaration of faith because he believes that people of faith need their voices to be heard.
It’s a book about renewing faith in individuals lives.
The process of national revival starts with individuals when they see their faith in their own individual lives are revived, and that creates a bigger revival.
Faith is a profound part of life. Everybody must get in touch with their personal faith and feel that sense of purpose and accomplishment.
His life verse is John [10:10] (“ the thief comes to steal to kill and to destroy, I have come that you may have life in abundance”) because he wants his life to be full, promising, fulfilling and abundant.
He had a lot of mentors and he realized now that he is 58 years old, it is his turn to be a mentor to younger people like what his mentors did for him when he was young.
He is making a transition in his career and getting back more into ministry focusing particularly on how he can help men reinvigorate their life, purpose and faith.
He wrote his 26^th book “Something More” as a follow up to the book “The Coming American Revival”because once your faith is revived, you can find that ‘something more’ that so many of us are looking for.

[8:51] – Chris talks about divisiveness and the spiritual state of America.

The spiritual state of America is floundering.
Their political problem is a symptom of their spiritual problem which boils down to 2 opposing world views – half is the Judeo-christian capitalistic world view and the other half is either secular, humanist-God is dead , socialized, Marxist anti-capitalism. The real problem is both sides view themselves as having a moral imperative that instead of disagreeing “I am right and you are wrong”, the disagreement is “I am good and you are evil”.

[14:19] – Chris talks about what would revival look like for Entrepreneurs on Fire.

Revival literally means to come alive again. Its about people coming alive again in their core values.
You have to find the core values of your faith. In business, make sure you are being honest, treating customers fairly, making sure you are taking care of your employees. Its comes out in your values of honesty, integrity and generosity.
He wrote a book to entrepreneurs “The Image” 5 misunderstandings of the Bible as it relates to business. One of it is ‘why can’t I be ambitious?’ And he believes that we are made in the image of God and God is ambitious. In the New Testament, ambition is used 5x in a negative sense wich is preceeded by the word ‘selfish’. It is selfish ambition that causes us problems. God has put in us a generous, grateful and purpose-filled ambition as entrepreneurs so be ambitious but stay tied don to your faith based roots about not being selfishly ambitious.
If you are just doing it for the money, then you are spiritually bankrupt but if its for fulfilling your purpose, that is amazing.
Walk in faith and in your core values and build that big companies but always do it for the right reasons.

[17:50] – Chris talks about the blueprint for personal revival.

There are 4 things that people should do based on 2 Chronicles [7:14] and this is the blueprint of revival. First, be humble for God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Second, pray and commune with God. Third, seek God’s face and pursue him. Lastly, turn from our wicked ways by starting to get right and get back to your roots and values.

Be a voice not an echo. Successful people are being the voice who pioneers great industries and not just those who are reverberating what othere people do.
