Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: How To Take Control Of Your Own Success By Taking Advantage Of A Global Economic Shift
[2:05] – Dean shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with
- Make money the number 1 priority – and give it all away if you want. If you have the opportunity to earn, the world needs our help.
- Money solves problems.
- If you have the ability to earn, make it and change the world.
[4:16] – What exactly does it mean that there’s a global economic shift?
- The world completely shifted and it’s not going back to the way it was. When culture shifts that much we should go where the puck is going, not where the puck is.
[6:31] – What kind of people are going to benefit from this shift?
- Knowledge is the most important new currency.
- When you’re thinking about how to do it – how you can make it happen – the person that’s going to by you a hundred miles an hour has figured out who has already done it, and they can cut a check to go faster by learning from them.
- The information and self-education industry is one of the fastest growing industries now.
[9:30] – What qualifications does someone need? Do they have to be an expert?
- You don’t need to be an expert. Dean promises that you are multiple chapters or a whole book ahead of somebody who’s just starting off.
- In today’s world, your experience is your inventory, and your brain is the warehouse that holds that asset. You just have to unlock it, identify the clients who want it, and share it so you can impact their lives and also create success for yourself.

That's T H I N K I F I C.com/firefree hiring can feel like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but when you post a job on zip recruiter, their matching technology finds these qualified candidates for you and invites them to apply. So while other companies give you too many options, ZipRecruiter finds you the needle in the haystack. And right now you can try ZipRecruiter for free at ziprecruiter.com/fire. Dean say what's up to Fire Nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful. That most people disagree.
1 (2m 5s):
What's up Fire Nation. So great question and good to be here with you. JLD seriously. You become such a good friend over the years. I love what you're doing. I love that your book is out there impacting lives. You just, you just, you keep up upleveling. And it's really awesome to watch, man. I mean it, so I miss might sound weird, but I'm proud of you and thanks for all you do for the world. Thank you. So something that other entrepreneurs might believe is go for the money. You know, I think some people feel bad saying that they're starting a business, ramping a business, working hard because of money make money. The number one priority because money solves problems. And to look at it through another light is give it all away.
1 (2m 46s):
If you want, if you have the opportunity to earn the world needs our help. Last year, I've been blessed. I was busted out the biggest year ever of giving away. It wasn't my biggest year for business, but my heart is in this space where money solves problems. We donated $600,000 to operation underground railroad to help kids in slavery. We built a school in Africa. We provided seven meals, 7 million meals through feeding America. I get to retire my parents. And I've done that for two decades. I'm not saying that to be like, look how great I am. But I think sometimes as we grow, we start thinking, especially in today's culture, that money's bad. And I, I would just say, you know, if you think money's bad or it doesn't buy happiness, you haven't given enough away yet.
1 (3m 27s):
So if you have the ability to earn the ability to grow, make it, and then change the world with it,
0 (3m 33s):
That mentality. And I actually am a big believer of Fire Nation that you are obligated to make money, because guess what? You can't keep giving your gift to the world, sharing your voice, your message, your mission with the world. If you can't put food on the table, have shelter for your family for your loved ones. So, I mean, there's an obligation here. Let's embrace us. Let's make this happen. And Dean, as I mentioned in the introduction, we're talking today all about how to take control of your own success by taking advantage of a global economic shift. And you believe Dean, and by the way, I wholeheartedly agree with you that we are in the midst of an global economic shift.
0 (4m 14s):
Can you expand upon this for Fire Nation?
1 (4m 16s):
I'm going to just share something Tony said, and this is simplest thing, but he said, Humpty Dumpty broke and you
0 (4m 22s):
Can't put it back together the same way. And
1 (4m 25s):
You know, tell me sometimes like, listen, we both appreciate Tony in a big way. And he's my partner and dear friend, but sometimes it's really deep what he says. And sometimes it seems really simple, but it really has more meaning is the world has completely shifted and it's not going back to the way it was. And when a world shifts that much, when cultures shift that much, when we go from in-person to online and virtual exponentially grows and technology from that continues to grow, we're not going back to the way we were. And that means there's a huge global economic shift happening, and money is flowing from different people to new industries. It's flowing out of old industries into new.
1 (5m 5s):
And I just believe that if we don't, you know, Wayne Gretzky, the skater, I think he's from Canada originally played here in the States to one of the best skaters of all time hockey, no matter wherever you're listening in the world, he was asked once why he's so good at hockey or why, you know, how'd you do so well or win another championship. He said, some people unfortunately skate to where the puck was. Some people in most skate to where the puck currently is. He said, I got really lucky and figured out how to skate, where the puck was going. And I think if we don't observe that there's an economic and a global shift, we're going to skate where the puck was or where it is.
1 (5m 46s):
And those that get to come out ahead are going to where the puck is going. And that's why, you know, I will scream from mountain tops. It's time to explore time to investigate, see where money is flowing. What industries are growing, where, where are the revolutions, the breakthroughs, the, the category Kings, the, the ground swell, the wave. And I think when you do that, it's not as difficult as you think, because most people sit on their hands in times like these, they wait for someone else to fix it. And just like, we're talking about, if you wait for someone else to fix it, someone else will own your future.
0 (6m 18s):
I mean, Dean, we known each other for a few years now, you know that I don't like to mince words and I'm here for Fire Nation's benefit. So who is going to benefit from this shift? Break it down for us.
1 (6m 31s):
There are more industries than one, but I, I don't, I'm not obsessed on many industries, but the industry that Tony and I are both obsessed on the industry you're in JLD. And the one that all your guests, most of your guests are in are a lot of your guests are in, is the knowledge industry, the information industry, you know, there's a new phrase that everybody says is knowledge is the new currency. And the fact of the matter is knowledge has always been the most important currency, right? And in life, people who struggle are trying to figure out how to do things. And this is something I think you should write down right now, write down and really remember this. And this is no mixed messaging here. This is right to the point when you're thinking of how to do it, how to figure it out and how you can make it happen.
1 (7m 15s):
The person that's going by you a hundred miles an hour is figuring out who has already done it. And they can cut a check to go faster by learning from them. It's how versed, who, and in today's world, where knowledge is the new currency. And you combine that with a pandemic where people are home and they're wanting to learn how to go faster from their computer, the information industry, the knowledge industry, the self-education industry, whatever you want to call. It is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. People are paying for the asset that lives between your ears, the experience you went through, the mess you went through that you're on the other side, the skill you've you've honed, the, the, the, the expertise that you've created or the thing that you've been studying for a long time.
1 (7m 59s):
People don't want to learn on their own because the world is moving too fast and they're gonna be left behind. So they want to learn from someone who's been there. They don't want to go back to traditional general education. So one of the industries, the groundswell revolution is the self-education industry. It's been, I mean, Tony's been in it for 40 plus years. And then there was Dale Carnegie and Earl Nightingale and Napoleon Hill it's been around. But now it's available to absolutely everyone because every niche possible people are saying, I could start off on third base. If I find somebody who's already been there. And in most cases, you're listening. You've already been somewhere that someone wants to be
0 (8m 34s):
Fire Nation. I hope you're really absorbing these words, that Dean saying, I mean, I'm taking notes. He's asking you to write things down. I hope you're doing these things. I mean, a couple of things that I wrote down that I just love knowledge is the new currency. Just think about that. And the reality is like Dean said, it's always been the currency. It's just somehow some people are recognizing this reality. And let me ask you a question. Fire Nation. I think you should be asking yourself, are you willing to cut a check to speed up your learning curve? Are you willing to invest in yourself, your time, your energy, your mental bandwidth, your focus, your finances. Are you willing to cut a check to speed this learning curve up?
0 (9m 14s):
Or are you willing to just let people zoom right on by you? And I know a lot of reason why people don't start Dean is because they think they have to be like the top 1% of the 1% of experts in the world to talk about something. Is that the case? Do we have to be an expert?
1 (9m 30s):
It's the biggest misnomer ever, because I promise you you're a chapter or multiple chapters or a whole book ahead of somebody starting off. I've said this before. JLD but I want to say it again because I want you to hear it. And I know you have the best audience in the world. And I know you guys, listen, I want you to really hear this. What if you had one week to prepare, you had a whole week to prepare and you had the opportunity. Someone was giving you the gift that you could go spend one hour with your 20 year old self. You had one week to prepare, and you could only pick two topics. Maybe it's love and relationships or career or, or income or starting your own business. Could you imagine how frantic you would work for a week and how much would you have to share?
1 (10m 14s):
Right? When it comes to money and say, Oh my God, your parents love you, but you don't have to follow what they did. You don't have to follow that pattern. You could break out, you could do your own thing. You should believe in yourself. Don't feel like an imposter. Here's four limiting beliefs that took me 20 years to crack that. I want you to crack at 20. Here's a belief about impact. You could sales. Doesn't have to be cheesy. You could do it to service and you can help other people. I mean, think how many things you'd want to teach your 20 year old self. I mean, right now, I know because I've done this in front of 50,000 people. When I say, what would that be worth to you? There's only two answers. I know what you're thinking. Either priceless or millions. I've had tens of thousands of comments and they're priceless or millions. And I don't care how many times I repeat that. Because when you feel that way, you have to realize there are limitless amount of people right now, like your 20 year old self that need what you've discovered, what you've learned.
1 (11m 2s):
Maybe you went through a divorce and you're on the other side and you made it magical for your children. Even though divorce is ugly. Somebody starting divorced today, or you start a podcast and you know how to crush podcasts like JLD, you could start and figure it out on your own. Or you could spend cut a check and have JLD consult or, or give you a course in every niche possible. Whether it's cutting hair, knowing sales, marketing, eating, vegan, learning how to do yoga. I mean, meditation. I mean, every don't need. I've been helping people for a couple of years now. JLD is, you know, we have over 5,000 niches. People are helping other people. And right now this isn't for JLD and Tony Robinson Dean Graziosi anymore. This is for anybody willing to unlock that asset.
1 (11m 43s):
I said this the other day, and I didn't, I didn't plan it. And I'm probably not going to say it again. But I said in today's world, you don't need inventory because your experience is your inventory and your brain, your routine, your ears is the warehouse that holds that asset. And really in today's world, you've got to just unlock it, identify the clients that want it and share it so you can impact their lives, but also create success for yourself.
0 (12m 8s):
Talk about value, bombs, Fire Nation. I hope you'd hit the rewind. 32nd buns listened to that whole analogy right there. A couple of times it needs to be absorbed by your brain Fire Nation. Cause what if you had one week to prepare and you could only pick two topics to teach yourself, like, how frantic would you be like Dean was talking about? Because you know that this is your one chance to really set yourself up for generational wealth. And guess what? Fire Nation, you are a chapter, a head of millions of people, absolutely. On countless topics right now we're talking countless. So what do you want to help people learn?
1 (12m 48s):
Think about this. And one of the things Tony and I love to share is selling isn't selling, selling is service when you're impacting people's lives. Right? And I always tell people, if you spent that week and you had all these things down, how important would it be for you to get the attention of your 20 year old self? If they didn't know it was you, what would you do to get them to listen? You would do anything. And when people ask Dean Tony, why are you guys so enthusiastic about all you do? Because I know if I can give somebody a shift, an idea, a strategy, a secret, something I discovered that took me pain or loss or fear sleepless nights. And I came out on the other side and I know the answer. My enthusiasm, my desire to serve is huge.
1 (13m 30s):
Just like if my 20 year old self started to walk away and say, I'm busy, I would tackle him. I mean, think about it, right? You would tuck them in all their face. It, listen to me, you don't understand the gifts. I'm going to give you in the next hour. We'll save you pain. We'll save you. Hardship will allow you to get to that full, you know, love in your life or abundance in your life or that career or impact. Listen to me, that's how important it is. So when people say, why are you and Tony still works so hard at this phase in your life? Because we know we have some of those things for people to go faster and we'll do whatever it takes to get it in their hands,
0 (14m 4s):
Fire Nation. I hope you're getting chills and shivers right now because this is the power of knowledge. This is the power of just taking a stand and saying, you know what? I am a chapter ahead. You know what? I have the ability to benefit from this shift. That's happening in the world. If I surround myself with the right people, if I learn, if I'm willing to cut a check, if I'm willing to get ahead of this curve and foundation, we have so much more information on this topic and how you specifically can benefit from what Dean and I. And so many other people are putting together to help you. When we get back from thanking our sponsors, what type of role are you hiring for this spring?

So Dean, not too long ago, we had an amazing weekends in Florida where we got to surround ourselves with some of the most incredible entrepreneurs, the most successful entrepreneurs in the world.
0 (16m 55s):
And it just reminded me once again, of the power of surrounding yourself with the right people, that Jim Rohn quote, that I end every one of my episodes with the, you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. I mean, these are individuals. I walked away from that, from that one weekend, just being like, Oh my God, there's 17 things. I need to implement into my business. And going into that weekend, I thought there were zero things I need to implement to my business, but it's just the power of starting stuff with the right people. They know secrets, they know tactics. They know what's working right now. So let's talk about some of these secrets that certain people right now are utilizing, that are helping them thrive that are helping them shift the world in such a powerful way.
0 (17m 37s):
Like who knows the secrets to thriving that you're surrounding yourself with.
1 (17m 42s):
Here's what I know when you ask a question like that. JLD and I know you probably do the same exact thing, but I want to share the obvious for everybody listening. Right? When I have a question like that, there's two things that come to mind is who was sharing the strategies, right? And what are the techniques that are working right now? And I want to share that, but then I also think of the upstream, right? There's always two answers because you could give someone a business on how to sell $20 bills for $10. And if they're thinking, Oh my God, it's not the right time. Or my wife was not on board with me right now. Or, you know, I have to wait until the shift in the war. You know, the technology's too harder. Everybody on Facebook is advertising the same thing.
1 (18m 23s):
If you don't crush the belief upstream, the downstream will never work. Right. And, and I know that's not an exact alignment, but I'm going to just think, or with your answer with your question JLD but I want everybody to really think about that. I had an amazing a woman in one of our high-level coaching programs and the chance to talk to her. She was such a bad-ass. She was so cool. And she got on and her question was Dean. I just can't seem to make a video on my sales page. Everything's done. And I could tell this one was going to change the world. JLD like, you know, when you just feel it, she just had it. And she's like, I just can't make a video. And she was looking for the tactic and the strategy on how to make a video for today's shifting world. And I know that, and I had already taught her and I went through the process and she goes, I get it.
1 (19m 6s):
It's just, I just don't know. I just can't film it. And I stopped and I could feel her hesitation. The downstream was in today's world. One secret is speak to people where they are. If your marketing, if your conversations are the same, they were a year ago. You've already been left behind. It's why your marketing is not working. If you're, if you're speaking in video as a transactional business owner, rather than a relationship business owner in today's world, you're already being left behind your marketing is not working or you can't get off the ground. So that's a tactical giveaway. My videos convert now better than ever before, but I speak to people. I build relationships and I entered conversations going on in their mind now, not what was going on in their mind a year ago. So that's the tactical.
1 (19m 47s):
This woman had that. But then I asked a few questions JLD and I found out that upstream, because I think in this, these two terms upstream, her husband didn't believe in what she was doing. She thought it was, he thought it was an industry that only other people could get in. And she was embarrassed to shoot a video because she thought if she did and put it out there, he'd make fun of her. So how do you fix the tactic and the strategy if upstream, she doesn't want to get made fun of by her husband. We came up with a plan. She got him on board. He watched a couple of our videos. He realized how empowered is now. They're doing it together. Right? But sometimes we want them quick answer of what's working. I gave you that. But if something upstream is stopping you, you'll never do it.
1 (20m 30s):
So I'm going to encourage that great question by jelly JLD is for you to look in your head, what tactical strategy do you need or what, what tools you need, but also, do you have the right belief behind you to empower that tool or strategy
2 (20m 45s):
Fire Nation? Do you have the belief?
0 (20m 48s):
I mean, I love that example, that Dean gave about how that one little thing that was figured out, all of a sudden cracked open, not just the single opportunity, but now the amazing opportunity. And now they're doing it together and they're both out there with their mission, their messaging, their voice with the world. And that's what happens when you come together, Fire Nation in you're open, you're open to learn and you're open to writing a check to get there faster. You're open to investing in yourself, time, energy, money, and deem. You have been investing in yourself for so many years now, and you've been helping others invest in themselves for so many years now. And you are putting together something incredibly special.
0 (21m 31s):
And I want to talk about the own, your future challenge. So tell us as much as you can reveal about this challenge and how Fire Nation can get involved.
1 (21m 42s):
Yeah. I'm so excited about this. You know, Tony and I, you know, the world has shifted. Let's just say it like it is and people are uncertain. And if we don't pivot, if we don't gain new capabilities, new mindset is this is a time where you can be left behind. I hate to say it so harsh, but it's true. And if you're left behind someone else could own your future and that's just not acceptable. So in, in January, Tony and I got together, I ran all the marketing I spoke to, but I ran all the marketing. We did it. And we went after, you know, I love being, you know, Tony was someone who changed my life at two decades ago and now was a dear friend. And he's always pushing me to go to another level. Both of us play like we're 10 points down legit. And January, we did a challenge for five days to help people shift their mindset in this new world.
1 (22m 26s):
And he killed it. I mean, I did my part, but he crushed it. And we, it was five days. We put 837,000 people in it. I mean, it was unbelievable, 190 countries all around the world playing full out. But since then, so many people have asked, okay, that was my mindset. How do I change my economic future? Where is my future? How do I do my own thing? How do I enter an industry that's growing? Because I think mine will shift, or I don't want to be in mind anymore, or I'm already in an online community, but I'm not thriving. So we decided to do the own, your future challenge based on building your own economy. Listen, you asked before about the global economy, how do we fix the global economy?
1 (23m 6s):
We start by fixing the economy in our homes. How do we fix the global conversation? We changed the conversation in our homes, right? We surround ourselves with people that see a bigger, brighter future, not the people who are talking about doom and gloom, and it's over. Like nobody's coming to save us. And you know, this JLD, we think the same way. If we want to make impact on the world, then we need to be successful. So Tony and I have literally two nights ago, we were on the phone for three hours talking about this on how we, how do we serve more go bigger. So this time we're shooting for a million people. We're doing the own, your future challenge. It starts on May 11th. So put that in your calendar right now and over five days. And it's not just Tony and I, we invited some of our dearest friends.
1 (23m 46s):
And we, when you go to the, when you go to the link, I'm sure JLD, we'll give you the link here in a moment. When you go to the link, you're going to be blown away by the people that are attending to teach you. And here I'll just reveal. These are people that get 20 to $300,000 to be on stage for 90 minutes. And they're all doing it for free five days, pulling back the curtain and show you how to gain new beliefs. But then how do you gain capabilities to enter the knowledge industry, the information industry share what, you know, have the confidence to do it. How do I identify the exact people who need it, how to sell it to them through service, not cheesy selling how to teach through a model story, teach to a model that anyone can do with confidence. How do you enter an industry? That's heading towards a billion dollars a day and we decided, you know what?
1 (24m 29s):
Let's do five days for free and let's pull back the curtain and show people now this, and JLD, I get a little excited about this. So feel free to fill me in, but I want to say three quick things. JLD, we'll give you the URL, but when you go, I want you to do a couple of things. First reserve, reserve your seat and then put it in your phone. Write it someplace. There's no replay. We're doing five days. And then all the training has to come down. There's just too much value. That's going to be out there. This is a, this is an unprecedented event and it, but you get one shot at it. So put it in your phone. But secondly, take that link and share it with your friends who need this. Some of them don't know what's happening. Some of them don't even know they need to go and they will have huge FOMO.
1 (25m 10s):
And maybe even they won't even have FOMO because they won't know. But this is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to wrangle all these amazing people together, all hell, bent on helping you succeed in this shifting world. So send it out to a friend. And then the last thing, and I've been saying this a lot, but I'm going to say it again. I want you to trick yourself and pretend you paid 5,000 bucks to be there because at any other time in history to get Tony and all the amazing guests, when you go there, your mind is going to be blown. You wouldn't pay 5,000, maybe $10,000 for an event like this. It's free for you to sign up, but pretend you paid the money. Show up with pen in hand with your journal. Just like I love how JLD stops and says fire nature. Listen, I'm going to say that you're going to want to listen to every single word because you can either own your future.
1 (25m 54s):
Someone else can. And I know you don't want that and neither just Tony and I
