How much money do you need to make anyway?
Ok, let’s step back for some clarity…
On Tuesday I shared with you my complete journey through the ‘Paradise Push’, from idea on Sunday to $177,408 dollars generated Thursday night.
All in all, we brought 144 peeps into the Podcasters’ Paradise family, gave away a ton of great bonuses, and are providing incredible value to those who made the investment.
We received a handful of email responses from our eight emails in four days campaign that were very similar to the following:
Seriously? How much money do you need to make anyway?
Feedback received.
I am not going to spend the rest of this email defending myself.
I don’t feel like it.
I do however feel like looking at this questions objectively and taking a minute to share my thoughts on ‘How much is enough?’
It’s fairly recent that I find myself in the infamous 1%.
With over $2 Million in liquid assets in the bank, all made in the last 16 months, I almost haven’t had time to sit down and actually contemplate what that even means.
One thing I think it means is that if I remain frugal and live like a normal human being, I can be fairly confident (barring disaster) that I’m in control of the actions I take day to day. I can steer my own ship in other words.
I like that.
I want to preserve that.
I also know that I am now in the position to give meaningfully.
To clarify, I think ALL giving is meaningful, but in this sense I mean that my giving could have a massive impact on a lot of people.
I like that.
I have partnered with Adam Braun and Pencils of Promise and committed to building a school in Africa in 2015 at the cost of $25,000. I am dedicating my school to my late grandparents who worked incredibly hard their whole lives at work they HAD to do, not wanted to do.
I like that.
There is going to be a school in Africa that wouldn’t be there if not for my donation.
I like that a lot.
I love this quote by Jay-Z: ‘You can’t help the poor if you’re poor.’
I agree with that.
Let’s circle back to address the question: How much money do you need to make anyway?
I’ll say this: I don’t know…yet.
Fire Nation what are your thoughts on this topic that I am trying to wrap my head around?
Do YOU have an answer to ‘How much is enough?’
